What Is the American Legion?

The Nation’s Largest Wartime Veterans Service Organization.

Chartered by Congress in 1919, The American Legion is a community of veterans built on a simple commitment: mutual helpfulness. Today, millions of members carry that mission forward through thousands of local posts like ours.

If you have served since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

Veterans & Families

A place for those who served, and for the families who served with them.

Community Service

We fund scholarships, youth programs, and donations to the community.

Patriotism

We honor the flag and our fallen at ceremonies throughout the year.
